Description

A refreshing and creamy smoothie that combines the zesty flavors of lemon and blueberries, perfect for a quick breakfast or post-workout boost.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup frozen blueberries
  • Juice of 1 small lemon plus 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 1 small banana (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 to 4 tablespoons Greek yogurt or cottage cheese
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
  • 3/4 cup milk (dairy or unsweetened almond milk)
  • Optional: 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or a pitted date
  • Optional: a handful of ice

Instructions

  1. Add milk to the blender first, then lemon juice and zest.
  2. Add blueberries, banana, yogurt, and protein powder.
  3. Blend on low to start, then high for 30 to 45 seconds until silky.
  4. Taste and add honey or more milk if needed, then re-blend briefly.
  5. Pour, sip, and enjoy!

Notes

For a banana-free version, replace banana with half an avocado or extra Greek yogurt for creaminess. Add chia seeds or oats for additional nutrition.
