Ingredients

- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- Juice of 1 small lemon plus 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 small banana (fresh or frozen)
- 3 to 4 tablespoons Greek yogurt or cottage cheese
- 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
- 3/4 cup milk (dairy or unsweetened almond milk)
- Optional: 1 to 2 teaspoons honey or a pitted date
- Optional: a handful of ice
Instructions
- Add milk to the blender first, then lemon juice and zest.
- Add blueberries, banana, yogurt, and protein powder.
- Blend on low to start, then high for 30 to 45 seconds until silky.
- Taste and add honey or more milk if needed, then re-blend briefly.
- Pour, sip, and enjoy!
Notes
For a banana-free version, replace banana with half an avocado or extra Greek yogurt for creaminess. Add chia seeds or oats for additional nutrition.
